  • Hardware-related software development in the automotive environment, with all its challenges in real-time behavior and resource efficiency
  • Working with software and hardware teams in the definition and analysis of features of an operating system
  • Supporting the creation of solution concepts for scheduling and resource handling problems
  • Supporting the evaluation and analysis of various features of an operating system
  • If suitable, there is the opportunity to continue the topics arising from the field of work as a bachelor's or master's thesis

Your qualities are

  • At least in the 3rd semester of a bachelor's degree in the field of embedded systems or (technical) computer science or electrical engineering with a focus on information technology
  • Basic understanding of operating system concepts and fundamentals of a preemptive scheduling
  • Basic experience and knowledge of the challenges in hardware-related software development
  • Self-motivated, problem-solving oriented, with an eye for detail, without losing sight of the overall task

  • Good English and German skills

About Area 21

Area 21 was founded in May of 2022 by the Elmos Semiconductor SE. The initial team was build up with Elmos software experts in October 2022. Area 21 has employees with many years of experience in managing, designing and testing software to enhance functionality of Elmos ICs. The main focus is on building embedded software for the automotive industry in close cooperation with the Elmos hardware development.
